New experiences

Again, it's been about a month since the last update. Alot has been happening. I re-did a website for one of the professors here at school. You can check it out here: wineskins.net. As a result, I was hired to redo one of the site's he is affiliated with. It's the Marston Memorial Historical Center & Archives of the Free Methodist Church. I have also been working on a site for my friend John Dongerdive, for his family's ministry in India.

Also, Olga & I have started going to The Rock / La Roca UMC, which is a church in downtown Lexington. It's Kentucky's first re-start church, meaning that it was on the decline, but has since been reorganized and is doing quite well. It has 3 services, a contemporary, traditional, and Spanish service, with regular combined services. The most recent one was Easter Sunday, and was quite amazing, full house. I've been talking to the pastor there about the possibility of a church website, which he's been very enthusiastic about.

Here's a template I'm working on:

Also, I designed and am hosting the website for Wilmore UMC's youth group, which can be seen here:

So yeah, God has been really opening alot of opportunities for me to share my talents in web-design, and I'm very thankful for that. I continue to work as an assistant webmaster at my school Asbury Seminary, and my boss will soon have a new design done, so overhauling the entire site will be fun and busy all at the same time.

Olga & I also purchased our wedding bands recently. We got simple, matching bands of white gold. Her's is a 4mm, and mine is 6mm. I really like the simple look, I guess that's due to my parents having simple bands. All the engraving and stuff seems too fancy for my taste, cuz I'm a simple sort of guy. The wedding feels like it's rapidly approaching. We're more than halfway through the semester, and we're counting the days 'til July 10th!

That reminds me, please pray that we get the Koinonia House couple position. It's for Internationals or their guests to stay in, and a married couple from the seminary runs it. If we get this, we'd be able to serve people that come in from other countries to visit Asbury. It's sort of like a little Bed & Breakfast. I think it'd be awesome to be able to welcome people to the area, and I love to cook! Having grown up a military brat, I really know what it's like to be the new guy. I went to 5 high schools in 4 years! And Olga of course is from another country. So, we think this would be a great way to minister to others, and are really excited at the possibility, but haven't heard anything back yet. We feel like we'd be great for the job, but we're also a little biased! So, please pray for God's will to be done in this situation.
