For the horde
Do you ever just get in a silly mood, and have to test out your creativity in off the wall ways? Maybe that's just me. Anyway, I have been doing a lot of reading lately, for grad school, web book reviews, and just plain learning for fun. One book I've been reading is The Elements of Typographical Style. I originally decided to buy it because Richard Rutter recommends it on his site about Web Typography, as one of the key books he used when putting the info together. So, lately I have been noticing more nuances in typography.
I have also been wasting time playing video games, since my wife is currently out of the country. One of my favorite games still is Warcraft III. While playing, I began to wonder what font is used for the in-game text. Eventually, I finally did figure it out: Friz Quadrata. Of course, just knowing the font face was not enough. I had to try my hand at blending it in with the user interface. So, it is with great pride that I present to you my rendition of a person I consider to be a Web Super Hero: Jonathan Snook, the Orc War-mage…
It just occurred to me that not everyone out there is as pathetically geeky as me. So, I have uploaded an original screenshot for reference. View it here.
