Bean Bag Chair - Sumo Sway

— Topic:

A number of years ago, I received an email from Andrew Milligan about his exceptional bean bag chairs, asking if I would like to have a review unit. Since then I have reviewed their original model, as well as the Sumo Sultan (review here).

Sumo Sultan

You may recall that some time ago, two years ago this month actually, I wrote up a product review of the Omni bean bag chair. The very first comment on that post asked: “Do they come in x-large?” I am happy to say that yes, Sumo makes an extra large model. It is called the Sultan, and I was recently provided one to review. Over the past years, the Omni has become one of my favorite lounging places.

Apple Love: Fins-Up

Fins-Up: Front

A few weeks ago, I received an email from Tim Trombly, asking if I would like to review his new product, Fins-Up. In short, Fins-Up is a built-in stand for Apple notebooks, which serves a twofold purpose. Firstly, it raises the incline of the keyboard to a more ergonomic level. Secondly, it allows increased airflow beneath the computer itself, helping to prevent over-heating.

I first heard about Fins-Up from my friend and former coworker Cody Lindley.

Oaktreeidea.com

Last week, Kent Shaffer of Bombay Creative emailed me asking if I would take a look at his company’s new social networking venture, Oaktreeidea. I am always skeptical when people ask me to review things, mainly because I am not a Michael Arrington, and do not particularly enjoy testing out new technologies.

If you’re the type who appreciates good preaching, I would encourage you to check out Sermon Cloud. If you have not yet heard about it, allow me to attempt to summarize. It is part podcasting site, part social networking, part tag cloud, and part Digg (minus the annoying users). Confused yet? Don’t be. It’s really quite simple.

Update: Molly Holzschlag also shared her thoughts on the the topic – here.

Today began like any other Saturday. I sort of lazily woke up, checked email, looked at my Mint stats to check the incoming referrers – nothing too exciting. One URL in particular caught my eye though, that of AboutUs.org which had a page written up about me.

Sumo Lounge - Omni chairs

A few weeks ago, Andrew Milligan of Sumo Lounge emailed me asking if I would do a review of his Omni bean bag chair. At first, I was skeptical but decided to take him up on his offer anyway. What can I say – I’m a sucker for free stuff. All I can say is that this is one comfy piece of portable furniture.

Unlike what you might typically think of as a bean bag chair, it is rectangular rather than the typical rounded shape.

eBible - My Thoughts

— Topic:

Recently I recieved an email from Geoff LaFleur of Godspeed Computing, inviting me to check out their upcoming eBible.com that has been making quite a buzz in Christian circles as of late. If you haven’t heard of it, think of it as Bible 2.0. While I have had an account there for awhile now, courtesy of Ryan Heneise’s invite, I hadn’t made time to take a good look at it.

While this is not the first attempt at creating an online Bible resource, I will not be comparing it to any of the others out there.
