Help Us Help You

What follows will be a desperate plea. My coworker Cody Lindley and I are planning on attending the 2006 SXSW Interactive festival. While our company is picking up the cost of the conference (we hope), it’s up to us to pay our way to Austin, Texas. That is where you (or somebody you know) comes in. In order to help offset some of these costs, we’re going to offer a website design and development package to one lucky customer.

Got Credentials?

He and I work on the Design Services team of a Fortune 50 company as Senior User Interface Developer and User Interface Designer, respectively. We are both well versed in web design and development, having done numerous freelance projects each. For more info, check out my résumé and while your at it, have a look at Cody’s résumé too.

Here’s the deal. We will build you a standards compliant website using the freshest client-side code ingredients: XHTML, CSS and JavaScript. This could be either an overhaul or a new website from the ground up. It will be tailor-made to your exact specifications, and will be a unique opportunity to establish a professional looking online presence.

Yeah, How Much?

$1500, and that buys you a lot. This means that you will be getting a grand total of 45 man-hours of work, completely devoted to the design and development of your new website. You will be getting an extremely top-notch product at half the hourly rate we would normally charge for doing freelance work. If this is something that interests you, let us know so that we can help you, and you can help us.

Discussion + Dissension

    Great idea.
I wish I had someone in mind to recommend!
Best wishes, and enjoy the conference.

  2. #2 Nathan Smith

Thanks Mike, hopefully we will find someone who wants some work done. I’m looking forward to all the speakers / events at SXSW, but I think just as much (perhaps more) looking foward to meeting all the designers / developers I talk to on a weekly basis. There will be a lot of 9rules guys there, as well as other freelancers that I respect and admire. All in all, it will be a great event!

  3. #3 Nathan Logan

I’ll do the backend if you figure out a way to get me there, too. ;)

I hope this works out for you guys – have fun at SXSW!

  4. #4 Nathan Smith

Nate L: That would rock. With your mad PHP skillz, we’d be doing like, Web 2.0, or 2.1 even! I’ll let you know if anything pans out. :)
