Wedding Pictures
Well, we’re back from Estonia, and I’m back to work. I get to be a teacher’s assistant for IT605, the web design for ministry class here at Asbury. I’ve put some of our wedding pictures online for y’all to check out. We also bought a car recently, a 2004 Dodge Stratus. That’s about all to say for now, married life is great. Goodbye Singlehood
Some significant changes happening today. Olga & I were legally married, at the Jessamine County court-house in Nicholasville, Kentucky. We won’t consider it a done-deal until our wedding ceremony on July 10th in Estonia, but as far as the US government is concerned, we’re man & wife. This was necessary because the pastors in Estonia don’t have the power to officially perform marriage ceremonies, so we would’ve had to have gone through their municipal system anyways. Yet, having it done here in the US makes it official in both countries, because Estonia loves all things American, go figure.
UMC Connections
I had an hour phone conversation today, with the director of umc.org He asked me if I’d be interested in a graphic art position. He said something to the effect of…
“We’ve got a PHP guy who is a genius, and he and several others are setting up a database to run websites for UMC churches nationally. We need someone who can put a skin on the site that reflects the effort that’s going into this project.”
He’s an Asbury alum, and so is his wife. He found me via our campus intranet. I’m a member of “LifeShare” – the alumni association.
